Ogasawara Islands are remotely located to the south of the Izu Islands and were formed by protrusions of an ancient underground volcano. Due to the remote location, over 140 varieties of indigenous plants and animals, some of which are designated as protected species have undergone a unique evolutionary process. For this reason, Ogasawara Island is dubbed as the “Galapagos of the Orient”. The seawater around the islands have very high clarity, full of coral reefs, tropical fish, sea turtles, dolphins and more. You may even get a chance to see a sperm whale during your diving expedition! This trip is designed for a group of keen divers who want to experience the Japanese diving culture.
